Governance

• Do our leaders meet regularly with a clear agenda?

• Do we bring new people onto the leadership team at least every two years?

• Do we delegate tasks effectively among leaders?

• Are all of our leaders national CMDA members?

• Do we complete the national reconnect form each year?

• Do we have an overall ministry plan guiding our activities?

Mission & Service

• Are we involved in ministry to students?

• Do we provide small groups for healthcare professionals (e.g., Bible studies, Faith Rx)?

• Do we serve the underserved in our local community?

• Do we engage a variety of health professions in our ministry?

• Do we encourage participation in international mission trips?

Events

• Do we host events that bring together professionals, students, and residents?

• Do we have community-wide events (banquets, picnics, family gatherings)?

• Do we participate in non-CMDA partnership events and opportunities?

Connecting and Onboarding New People

• Do we have simple, clear ways for new people to get connected?

• Do we have someone who “owns” the assimilation of new people?

• Do we maintain regular communication with members and friends (email, newsletters, etc.)?

Relationship to National CMDA

• Do we encourage national CMDA membership among participants?

• Do we send people to national and regional CMDA conferences?

• Do we maintain a website or social media presence?

• Do we have a Side by Side and/or WPDC local chapter?

• Do we maintain regular contact with our Regional Director?

• Do we partner with churches and other ministries?
